Please Note: Thunderbird Bungalows is a family-friendly resort and no partying will be tolerated.
OFFICE HOURS: Our main office is open for check-ins only. There is a key drop box located to left of main office door to deposit keys at check-out. For assistance or inquiries during your stay we can be reached via phone or text at 204-848-2521. Emergency calls/texts only after 8:00 pm.
Please notify our office if you are going to be arriving later than 6:00 pm to make arrangements for your later arrival.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT TIMES: Check-in is 4:00 PM, Check-out is by 11:00 AM – No early check-in or late check-out requests can be offered during our prime season, please do not arrive prior to 4:00 PM for check-in.
QUIET HOURS: 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM – No outside music or loud noise permitted between these hours.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
High-Season Bookings – 60 day cancellation policy – full refund of deposit less $50 administration fee per cabin cancelled – no exceptions
Low Season Bookings – 14 day cancellation policy – full refund of deposit less $50 administration fee per cabin cancelled – no exceptions
No refunds will be made after check-in has taken place
CABIN OCCUPANCY
Maximum guest occupancy for cabin must not be exceeded and number of guests must be registered at time of booking. Any age is counted as a guest, including infants. Any extra guests may be asked to leave. One extra guest may be permitted in select 2-bedroom cabins for an additional guest fee of $15/night plus taxes and must be registered at the time of booking.
1-bedroom cabins – sleeps 2 guests
2-bedroom cabins – sleeps 4 guests
3-bedroom cabins – Sleeps 6 guests
CABIN ASSIGNMENT
If required we reserve the right to switch cabin # assignments after booking has been made for a similar cabin and occupancy.
VISITORS OF GUESTS
Visitors that result in exceeding the maximum allowable occupancy of the cabin are not permitted. The resort and its amenities are for registered guest use only.
SMOKING
No smoking or vaping permitted inside the cabins or in common areas i.e. pool, playground, courtyard, etc.
Smoking inside cabins will result in a $250 charge.
NO SMOKING OF CANNABIS PERMITTED ON RESORT PROPERTY!
MOSQUITO COILS AND CANDLES
Absolutely NO burning of mosquito coils or candles inside or outside of cabins at any time.
SWIMMING POOL
The swimming pool is open during our prime season only and is weather permitting.
No smoking, pets, chewing gum, sunflower seeds or glassware inside the pool area.
No life-guard on duty. You are responsible for your own safety and your children’s.
Children under the age of 12 must be closely supervised by an adult.
No large pool floats or spongy, Nerf-like toys that can be sucked into our wall skimmer inlet are permitted.
Only registered guests of Thunderbird Bungalows are permitted in the pool area, NO VISITORS PLEASE!.
Please observe the posted pool rules.
PLAYGROUND:
Use at own risk, please supervise children closely and ensure that the playground equipment is being treated respectfully. The play structure is for children only, please no adults.
Please ensure children refrain from dismantling our landscaping and running through our garden areas, This includes the removal of rocks from our rock walls!
Firewood can be found for sale locally. It is unlawful to bring outside firewood into Riding Mountain National Park or to chop down trees or branches within the Park. Doing so could result in a fine.
Fires must be supervised at all times and completely extinguished if leaving the site.
No firepits, aside from those provided by us, will be permitted on the resort, including propane firepits,
Please note that starting in 2026 we will be transitioning to shared firepits and will no longer be offering private firepits at every cabin.
No chopping of firewood on resort property, please purchase pre-split wood and kindling.
PARKING:
3 bedroom cabins have 2 parking spots per cabin
1 and 2 bedroom cabins have 1 parking spot per cabin
Extra parking is available on the street
HOUSEKEEPING:
All cabins are cleaned and ready for guests at check-in, we do not provide daily housekeeping services.
Guests are expected to leave their cabin tidy upon check out. To avoid a $100 cleaning fee, all dishes are to be washed, dried and put away, spills wiped up, bbq grills left clean, and garbage is to be disposed of in the bins located in the back lanes.
PET POLICY:
Dogs only (under 30lbs, non to low-shedding, minimal barking) are allowed, with permission in select cabins and must be approved at time of booking.
We charge a $20/night pet fee per dog. Maximum of 2 pets allowed per cabin.
Pets are not permitted in the playground and pool area, or in any other non-designated pet-friendly cabin.
Pet droppings must be picked up by the pet owners immediately and disposed of in the outdoor trash bins located in the back lanes.
Pets are not to be left outside unattended or alone in the cabins unkennelled.
Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds.
Uncontrolled barking, at any time, inside or outside the cabins, will not be tolerated.
For the safety of our guests, pet owners must be in control of their pets at all times.
OTHER:
For guest safety, please no riding bikes or playing sports in the main courtyard, playground, and common areas of the resort. There is a large greenspace located behind the main office building for those activities.
Please do not break branches off of the trees.
For the enjoyment of all guests and safety of our wildlife please do not dispose of cigarette butts, sunflower/nut shells or garbage on the ground.
Bikes are not to be stored inside the cabins, on decks or leaning against exterior cabin walls. Bikes may be chained to outside deck posts.
No gazebos, kitchen tents, camping tents, tarps or other removable structures permitted.
