Resort Policies

2019 Prime Season runs from June 21st to September 2nd  (no guarantee for pool to be open prior to June 21st)

Please Note: Thunderbird Bungalows is a Family-Friendly resort and no loud partying will be tolerated.


We have a NO PET POLICY for the Thunderbird Bungalows.


10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Please notify our office if you are going to be arriving later than 6:00 pm to make arrangements for your later arrival.


11:00 PM TO 8:00 AM – No outside music permitted between these hours.


Check in time is after 4:00 pm.

Check out time is before 11:00 am.

No early check-ins or late check-outs can be offered during our prime season, please do not arrive earlier than 4pm for check-in.


High Season Bookings- 60 day cancellation policy (full refund of deposit less $50.00 cancellation fee per cabin cancelled) – June 21st to September 2nd.

Low Season Bookings – 14 day cancellation policy (full refund of deposit less $50 cancellation fee per cabin cancelled).

No refunds will be made after check-in has taken place.


No smoking permitted inside the cabins – doing so will result in a $300 charge.

No marijuana permitted on property.

No smoking in common areas i.e. pool, playground, courtyard.

Please use ashtrays provided and dispose of butts appropriately.

Please do not throw cigarette butts on ground or leave inside firepits.


June & July – 11 am to 9:30 pm; August – 11 am to 8:30 pm; September – 12pm to 7pm.

Pool is not guaranteed to be open prior to June 21st or past September 2nd.  Seasonal Open and Closure dates are weather permitting.

No smoking, gum, sunflower seeds or glassware inside the pool area.

No life guard on duty.

You are responsible for your children’s and own safety.

Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult.

No large pool floats permitted.

Only registered guests of the Thunderbird are allowed in the pool area.

Please observe posted pool rules.


We do not supply firewood, it is available for purchase within the townsite.

It is unlawful to bring outside firewood into Riding Mountain National Park and doing so could result in fines.

It is unlawful to chop down trees or branches within the Park or to move any deadfall or brush and doing so could result in fines.

Firepit use is subject to weather conditions.

Untreated firewood only, no treated/painted lumber or garbage please.

Please no chopping wood on concrete patio blocks or landscaping ties, damages will result in charges.

DO NOT leave burning fires unattended.


No smoking inside the cabins.

No pets on the property or in the cabins.

MAX Overnight Occupancy:  6 in 3 bedroom, 5 (max 4 adults) in 2 bedroom, 4 (max 2 adults) in 1 bedroom.  If caught with more overnight guests than allowed you will be asked to leave and will not have the opportunity to return. 

NO bikes on decks, in cabins, or against exterior cabin walls.  Bikes can be kept beside the deck and locked to the railing. 

DO NOT attach anything to cabins or lean anything against the siding of the cabins.

No throwing sunflower seed shells, nut shells, or cigarette butts on the ground.

DO NOT move furniture around inside the cabin i.e. beds, dressers, couches, etc.

Please do not throw away or take soap dispensers.

Please do not leave food or garbage outside unattended, this attracts bears and other wild animals.

If you move any kitchenware between cabins please be sure to return the same items to the cabin of origin.

Please report any broken or damaged items to the office.

No gazebos, kitchen tents, camping tents, tarps or other removable structures permitted. 


3 bedroom cabins have 2 spots per cabin.

1 and 2 bedroom cabins have one spot per cabin.

2A and 2B must park on the street.

Small trailers may be permitted, please ask first.

The plate number of your car is required, all others on resort property will be towed.


No riding bikes on the property.

Please do not break branches off of the trees.

No smoking in the playground or pool areas.
